ASID HONORS TIM SCHELFE AS NATIONAL DESIGNER OF DISTINCTION

Ci Design, Inc. (Ci), an award-winning architecture firm, is thrilled to announce the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) honored Principal, Director of Interior Design & Procurement Tim Schelfe, FASID, CID, with the prestigious National Designer of Distinction Award. This Legacy Award celebrates Tim's extensive career as an ASID practitioner who has advanced the interior design profession.
Over the past four decades, Tim has become a champion of elevating the profession of interior design and leading successful design projects, creating quality spaces to live, work and play. His deep understanding of design excellence and the business and art of selling design has shaped his influence on the interior design profession and his role as a design leader and mentor. He has successfully designed and delivered hundreds of diverse projects, from single-family residences to multi-family communities, various commercial interiors, clubhouse amenities and restaurants that have translated a client’s vision into a positive reality.
Tim received this award on stage in front of hundreds of interior design professionals at ASID’s 50th Anniversary Celebration during the 2025 GATHER Conference in Atlanta on Sunday, August 17. The awards celebrate the pinnacle of design talent nationwide, encompassing professionals, firms, and projects from all sectors coast-to-coast. In recognition of this milestone year, Tim was also presented with the ASID 50 Award earlier this month, underscoring his passion, dedication, and career-long commitment to innovation in interior design.

After decades of volunteering with ASID through multiple roles, from chapter and national board roles and culminating as Chair of the ASID National Board of Directors, he uses his unique career to lead, inspire and show others how design can impact the lives of people every day.
