Ci Design supported real estate due diligence and led the design and turn-key delivery of Ypsomed’s first U.S.-based advanced manufacturing facility. Located in Holly Springs, North Carolina, the $250 million project represents a significant milestone in Ypsomed’s global growth strategy, expanding production capacity while strengthening key partnerships worldwide. The 150,000-square-foot, scalable GMP medical device production facility is targeting LEED Gold certification, further reinforcing Ypsomed’s commitment to sustainable development.

Scheduled to open in late 2027, the North American initiative was enabled through strong collaboration with local and state authorities. The project will benefit from its proximity to top-tier universities, supporting the recruitment of a highly skilled workforce while enhancing Ypsomed’s position as a leading global supplier of self-injection systems to the healthcare market.

Ypsomed’s investment will further elevate the Research Triangle region as a premier hub for life sciences and advanced manufacturing.
