THE VILLAGE AT SEVEN PINES BREAKS GROUND IN JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA

Ci Design, Inc. commemorated the start of construction on The Village at Seven Pines with a groundbreaking ceremony hosted by Regency Centers on February 18. More than just a shopping center, the approximately 250,000-square-foot retail destination will provide pedestrian-friendly circulation with ample outdoor gathering spaces that bind the variety of uses the development will offer.

Anchored by a Publix, the project will feature a mix of national and local tenants, including a Chase Bank, Publix Liquor Store, Ember & Iron, RE Spa, West Elm, Pottery Barn Kids, Williams Sonoma, 1928 Cuban Bistro, and Toytopia.

“Our collaboration with Regency Centers is establishing The Village at Seven Pines as a thoughtfully planned retail center designed to be a part of every day life,” said Principal Jonathan McKearin, AIA at Ci Design, Inc. “Our design paid close attention to the character of the surrounding areas to create a community that’s here to stay.”

Adding to Regency Centers’ commitment to the project’s longevity, the national retail developer will relocate its headquarters from downtown Jacksonville to the Village at Seven Pines following the first retailer openings, planned for 2027.

The Village at Seven Pines is part of the 1,200-acre master-planned community in development near the Interstate 295 and J. Turner Butler Boulevard interchange. Its name harkens back to the seven Skinner brothers who carried on their father’s legacy with this land as part of their last significant landholding.

Ci is working with Regency Centers to provide architecture, planning and landscape design services for this new development that will transform the Seven Pines community.
