Ci provided architectural and interior design services as the Architect of Record for renovating The Prime Rib restaurant in Baltimore, which recently reopened!
A staple in the Mount Vernon-Belvedere neighborhood, Prime Rib underwent its first modification since the 1970's. Ci Design and J C Porter Construction collaborated to provide the renowned 58-year-old restaurant with key design features to enhance the visitor’s overall dining experience, increase seating capacity, and address necessary program and operational improvements in both front and back-of-house areas.
As part of the scope of work, Ci worked with the owner to refresh and expand the existing bar, creating a new lounge area that serves as an extension of the main dining room and setting for private gatherings, and two new ADA-complaint restrooms for guests. Rather than introduce a new design, the proposed renovation aimed to seamlessly blend and complement the restaurant’s characteristic Old Hollywood Regency aesthetic. Our team is thrilled to have taken part in this one-of-a-kind opportunity!
