Ci DESIGN WELCOMES TERESSA MERCK AS PRINCIPAL AND DIRECTOR OF INTERIORS

Ci Design, Inc. is pleased to announce that Teressa Merck, AIA, NCIDQ, LEED AP, has joined the firm as Principal and Director of Interiors. Based in Ci’s Raleigh office, Merck will lead the firm’s interiors team, guiding strategy, project delivery, and team growth across Ci’s diverse portfolio of projects ranging from state-of-the-art science and technology facilities to dynamic mixed-use developments and residential communities, as well as 24/7 mission critical environments.

Merck brings more than 20 years of experience in interior architecture. Her collaborative and people-centered leadership style has successfully guided projects from early concept through execution while building strong client partnerships and mentoring the next generation of design professionals.

Prior to joining Ci, Merck served as Managing Director and Principal at IA Interior Architects, where she led the firm’s Raleigh studio and contributed to the growth of IA’s global practice. In this role, she oversaw studio operations, business development, and project delivery while expanding the firm’s presence across the Southeast.

Merck holds a Master of Architecture from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is a licensed architect in North Carolina and New York, a LEED Accredited Professional, and an active member of several professional organizations including the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and CoreNet Global.

In her new role at Ci, Merck will focus on expanding the firm’s capabilities for interiors, elevating design excellence and strengthening client partnerships while helping to shape thoughtful, human-centered environments that enhance how people experience space.
