Raleigh, NC - Ci Design, an award-winning international architectural design firm, hosted an Open House to celebrate its rapid growth since opening the Raleigh office’s doors in 2020.
Since 2009, Ci Design has been turning development ideas into reality to become an acknowledged leader in commercial, science & technology, and industrial project design around the world. The firm’s offices in Baltimore, Boston, Raleigh, and DC Metro deliver distinctive design solutions with services in master planning, lab and manufacturing planning, architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and graphic design.

The Ci Design team has a long history of delivering successful projects in the Triangle dating back to 2000 with Kane Realty’s 52-acre redevelopment of North Hills Mall, known today as the North Hills Main District. Currently, Ci Design is providing planning and architecture services for the North Hills Main District Expansion‑-bringing 2 million square feet of retail, residential, office and life sciences space to the former JC Penney site.
“Our strategy involved a deliberate and thoughtful plan that expands our services in the region’s markets, including mixed-use, multi-family, retail, industrial, office, science and technology,” said Principal Chris Bauer, Assoc. AIA. “It’s very rewarding to look back at the goals we collectively set out to achieve upon opening an office in Raleigh nearly three years ago and witnessing the success of its current state.”
Ci Design is currently working on two Aura multi-family, mixed-use developments in Chapel Hill and Durham, and a 192-unit affordable housing project called Sandy Ridge Station in Durham. Outside of the Triangle region, a $250 million mixed-use development in Wilmington known as CenterPoint will include retail, residential, hospitality and office on 23 acres with The Beach Company and Swain & Associates.
