PROJECT MANAGER/SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER - RALEIGH, NC

Within each of these practices, our team provides exceptional services in architecture, planning, landscape design, experiential graphics and branding, lab and manufacturing planning, interior design, procurement, strategy and change management.


We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager/Senior Interior Designer to work full-time in our Raleigh office. This position will work closely with the Director of Interior Design to provide design, coordination and management in the design and development of commercial interior design projects, including multifamily, hospitality and various commercial interiors. This position requires a thorough knowledge of current design trends, materiality, FF&E, drafting and related practices using Revit, InDesign and Photoshop software. In addition, this position requires the ability to recognize and resolve moderately complex problems, communicate effectively with the design team, senior staff and clients, as well as adapt to changes and elect most effective methods of accomplishing tasks.


Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Review project contracts, scope of services, project program, project fee budgets, timelines and establish project schedules, deliverables, defining necessary staff resources.

  • Collaborate on the ideation, conceptualization and schematic design development of various projects.

  • Lead and direct, in coordination with the Director of Interior Design, the design, production, construction documentation and FF&E phases throughout the lifecycle of a project.

  • Coordinate design deliverables with various professional services including Architectural, MEP and Lighting consultants as applicable throughout the lifecycle of a project.

  • Follow contract, budget, schedule and standard drafting practices. Review standard reference sources to accomplish design intent, and concise construction documents.

  • Review completed drawings for conformance to project program, specifications, approved practices, standards and codes governing the work.

  • Follow through with construction administration, RFIs, project submittals and project site visits.

  • Design, select and develop full FF&E design packages for various commercial/hospitality projects.

  • Lead and direct, in coordination with the Director of Interior Design, the FF&E design, budgeting, selection and procurement process throughout the lifecycle of a project.

  • Serve as contact liaison with the client and project team, ensuring project completion on schedule, within budget and with maximum client satisfaction.

  • Actively participate in client and project meetings and offer design and technical recommendation regarding design/development of projects.

  • Meet project schedules, and maintain positive relationships with clients and the Ci Design project teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design/interior architecture from a CIDA accredited college or university.

  • 15+ years related experience with multifamily, commercial and/or hospitality projects.

  • Proficient in Revit, InDesign, Photoshop, Sketch-Up and Microsoft Office Applications.

  • Thorough knowledge of multifamily, commercial and hospitality FF&E products, design and specifications.

  • Ability to multitask, work as part of a team and work independently on multiple projects.

  • Strong organizational, project management and communication skills.

  • Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings, FF&E installations and to support various project phases.

  • Versatile, self-motivated and articulate.

  • Exceptional organizational skills.

  • Strong resume of continued professional growth, NCIDQ Certified and Licensed or Certified Interior Designer or on track for professional licensing.

  • Additional graphic and 3D software capabilities are a plus.
