As co-founder and president of Ci, John Larsen leads the firm with his award-winning experience in the design of mixed-use, retail, hospitality and residential projects around the world from the United States to Dubai, Indonesia, Singapore, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Oman and South Africa. Together with firm’s principals, John works to ensure the delivery of consistent, cost-effective and quality project results.

Throughout his career, John has received accolades for his work on noteworthy mixed-use projects such as the renovation and expansion of the 20 million-square-foot Ibn Battuta mixed-use redevelopment in Dubai, UAE and the award-winning $200 million North Hills mixed-use development in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Prior to co-founding Ci in 2009, John served as Managing Principal for Retail and Mixed-Use at its predecessor firm Cubellis, as Principal and Practice Group Leader for Retail, Mixed-Use and Hospitality at Jacobs Carter & Burgess, and as a Senior Vice President at Development Design Group.

John is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and currently sits on the ICSC International Design & Development Awards Jury, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and the American Institute of Architects.
